Grenoble

Grenoble, famous for having hosted the Olympics, is the main town of the Isère and the capital of the Alps. At the foot of the Vercors, this lively village nestles between the mountains and has a lot to offer. You can stroll around in the historical centre or take the cable car to the Bastille, an old group of fortifications dominating the town and offering some great views. By visiting the museums of Grenoble, you’ll be discovering 2.000 years of art and history. The Musée de Grenoble houses some beautiful collections of paintings, dating from the period between the 13th and 20th centuries.
